I would expect nothing different where self employed contractor employed as they are most likely unaware of their legal responsibilities, poorly trained in any H&S matters, if at all. And why salvage old roof tiles especially when roofing expertise isn’t used? Time some of these contractors faced prison time (death by misadventure perhaps?)
